Drive through the French Alps from north to south and from south to north!

Pick-up of the
rental motorcycle in Annemasse railway station, then direction Yvoire, a fortified medieval village. You can leave your helmet and jacket at the tourist office for a moreenjoyable walk.

It then passes through Thonon-les-Bains and the Port of Rives, then by Evian.

Then mounted on the set of Gavot, then towards Châtel by the Abondance valley.

It is possible to visit the Abbaye d'Abondance (information from the tourist office: +33 (0) 4 50 73 02 90)

We continue the road to Switzerland, from the Pas de Morgins.

Around Martigny, we moved to France via the Col de la Forclaz, then towards Chamonix.

We pass St Gervais and Megeve, then the Col des Aravis, before joining the Gîte Les Mésanges at Thônes, capital of reblochon cheese (info and reservations: +33 4 50 02 01 00)

 
Day 2 :

We start from Thônes toward the south, then toward Beaufort. We pass the lake created by the dam of Roselend, and the Cornet de Roselend (1967 m). It goes well in the natural park of Vanoise.

We let Bourg-St-Maurice to our right and continue towards the Barrage de Tignes and Val d'Isère, before climbing the Col de l'Iseran (2764 m).

It then descends towards Modane and Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne, then turn left towards Valloire Galibier and Col (2646 m).

Arriving at the Col du Lautaret, direction Le Monetier-les-Bains for a stop at the Auberge du Choucas (info / reservations: www.aubergeduchoucas.com, tel: +33 (0) 4 92 24 42 73)

Day 3:

We take the direction of Briançon, then the Col d'Izoard (2360 m) in the natural park of Queyras.

It then descends Guillestre, then the Col de Vars (2109 m).

It then enters the natural park of Mercantour, for the ascent of the Col de la Bonnette (2715 m). At the pass, you can take the road that goes around the top of the windshield. Culminating at 2802 m is the highest paved road in France and in The Alps.

We continue our descent to the south by St Martin Vésubie.

Heading south-east towards the Turini forest and the famous Col de Turini. This route is taken almost every year by the Monte Carlo Rally, and has many bends and beautiful views over the Mediterranean.

It then descends to the south towards Sospel and Menton, where the day ends, right on the Mediterranean. Attention in season, book early for accommodation.

Day 4:

We leave Menton along the coast on the hills towards the west. It bypasses Monaco, Nice to back down and take the Promenade des Anglais.

It then goes on to Grasse.

It then follows the route Napoleon towards Castellane and Digne-les-Bains.

You can stop at Castellane near the roundabout Marcel Sauvaire place to spend some quality time for lunch or a drink.

A Digne-les-Bains, you can take the D900A left, parallel to the D900 from the site of the Vélodrome, the largest geological reserve in Europe.

Leaving Savines-le-Lac crossing the Durance, toward Gap.

Then we continue towards Die by the Col de Cabre (1180 m)

It enters the Vercors regional park, we pass the Col de Rousset (1254 m), then the Col de la Machine and enter Combe Laval, with its tunnels and cliffs.

We arrive in the Grenoble region through the gorges of the Bourne.

We cross Grenoble to the north to enter the natural park of Chartreuse.

Day 6:

We start from St Pierre de Chartreuse through the gorge du
Guiers Mort. We then go south towards Les Echelles and then to Lake of Aiguebelette.

It runs along the lake on the east side.

It then continues north then east towards the lake of Bourget on the west side.

It goes down a little to the south, skirting the Lac du Bourget, before heading east towards the lake of Annecy. It thus circumvents the mountains on the south and Semnoz by the pass of Leschaux.

Then we arrive in St. Jorioz and the lake of Annecy.

We pass the lake on the south and move north along with the Talloires through.

You can stop at Annecy to visit the old town. Parking for motorcycles is regulated, stop at a definite place.

Then we go back north to Cruseilles, where we take the direction of Salève, where we will have a view on the left on Geneva and Mont Blanc on the right.

It then descends Annemasse.
